Updated October 2026 8 picks from 15 models compared

For most Australian homes, the best robot vacuum and mop is the ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Omni: 30,000Pa of suction, a roller mop that rinses itself as it cleans and lifts 15mm clear of rugs, and a 95mm body. Below it are the picks for low beds, door tracks and rugs, pets, and a longer Australian warranty.

The short answer
ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Omni robot vacuum and mop with its self-emptying station
Best overall

ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Omni

30,000Pa, a self-rinsing roller mop that lifts 15mm on carpet, and ECOVACS’ ZeroTangle 4.0 brush for pet hair.

Why this one →
Dreame X50 Ultra robot vacuum and mop with its auto-empty base station
Best for door tracks and rugs

Dreame X50 Ultra

Dreame rate it over a 6cm two-step lip, and it can leave its mops at the dock before carpet, so door tracks and rugs stop being where it gives up.

Why this one →
ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 Omni slim robot vacuum and mop with its all-in-one station
Slim, with a 2-year warranty

ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 Omni

81mm tall, a dock that washes and dries the mops, and the 2-year Australian warranty ECOVACS give the T50 family.

Why this one →

Many of the best-known “best robot vacuum” lists are written for American homes. Australian ones are different: tile or timber through the living areas, carpet in the bedrooms, a trim strip in most doorways, and warranty terms that change a lot depending on the brand and on where you buy.

So this guide only picks machines sold in Australia, puts each maker’s Australian warranty next to the specs, and says who each one doesn’t suit. The figures are the makers’ own, from their Australian sites. Where we quote a store listing instead, we say so, and where two of a maker’s own pages disagree, you’ll see both numbers.

Suction, mop lift, height and camera are each maker’s published Australian specifications. Warranty is each maker’s Australian warranty policy, and the conditions behind those numbers are in the warranty section. Where a button shows a price, it’s the store’s price at the time shown, so check the listing before you buy. Pa (pascals) is how makers measure suction. Structured light is a projected laser pattern a robot uses to spot obstacles without a camera.

The picks

ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Omni robot vacuum and mop with its self-emptying station
Best overall

ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Omni

  • 30,000Pasuction
  • 15mmmop lift
  • 95mmtall

The T90 Omni does the two jobs most Australian homes need without making you babysit either. ECOVACS describe its roller mop as self-washing while it cleans, so it isn’t pushing the same dirty water around by the time it reaches the far wall, and the dock washes it in water heated up to 75°C.

It lifts that roller 15mm on carpet and climbs a 24mm door strip in one go. The ZeroTangle 4.0 brush is built to stop hair winding round it, which is why it’s also our pick for pet hair. It finds obstacles with structured light and a camera. At 95mm it’s slim for a machine carrying this much, but measure under your sofa before you count on it.

Don’t buy this ifyou want more than a year’s warranty. The T90 Omni isn’t on either of ECOVACS Australia’s longer warranty lists, so it sits on their standard 1 year. And buy it for the lift and the roller, not the 30,000Pa: past about 10,000Pa a suction figure tells you little about how clean a hard floor gets.
Dreame X50 Ultra robot vacuum and mop with its auto-empty base station
Best for door tracks and rugs

Dreame X50 Ultra

  • 6cmtwo-step climb
  • 20,000Pasuction
  • 89mmtall

Dreame rate it over obstacles up to 6cm in two steps and 4.2cm in one, so the lip on a sliding door or the raised edge into a tiled laundry stops being the place the robot gives up and calls you.

On carpet it can lift its mops 10.5mm, or leave them at the dock and vacuum with nothing damp attached. You choose which in the app. The top sensor retracts to bring it down to 89mm for low furniture, the dock washes the mops at up to 80°C, and its camera recognises up to 200 kinds of object, pet waste included.

Don’t buy this ifthe full warranty is the reason you’re choosing it and you won’t buy from Dreame. Dreame’s 36 months is written for purchases from Dreame’s own Australian store, and its policy says products bought elsewhere don’t get free warranty repair unless they came through an authorised distributor. The listing we link isn’t Dreame’s store, so ask the seller how warranty claims work before you buy. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply either way.
Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro robot vacuum docked in its white self-cleaning station
Best for low beds and sofas

Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro

  • 79.8mmtall
  • 36,000Pasuction
  • 100°Cmop wash

At 79.8mm it gets under low beds and sofas, which is where hair and dust collect and where taller robots can’t reach. It’s the slimmest of our picks.

Set it to Vacuum Carpet First and it detaches its mops before it does the carpet, so nothing damp goes near the pile. The dock washes the mops in water heated up to 100°C and dries them with 55°C air. Roborock rate it over a two-layer threshold up to 8.8cm combined, and it recognises pets and obstacles with a camera and structured light.

Don’t buy this ifyou want 24 months of cover. The Edge 3 Pro isn’t on Roborock Australia’s 24-month list, so it sits on their standard 12 months. The Qrevo Curv 2 Flow and Qrevo L Pro below are on that list. Its 36,000Pa is the highest of our picks, but on mostly hard floors that number tells you little.

Best for pets and pet accidents

iRobot Roomba Max 705 Combo

  • Pet wasterecognition
  • Rollermop
  • 13,000Pasuction

Plenty of robots say they recognise pet waste. iRobot Australia put a promise behind it. Under their Pet Owner Official Promise, if this robot fails to avoid pet waste they’ll replace it free of charge, for a year on a new robot. It has to be bought from iRobot or an authorised Australian or New Zealand seller, pet waste avoidance has to be switched on in the app, and you report it within 7 days. When we looked, the listing we link was sold by the company that runs iRobot’s Australian store.

The rest is a capable machine: a roller mop that spins at 200RPM and cleans itself, and a dock that empties the bin, washes and heat-dries the roller and refills the tank.

Don’t buy this ifyou want the carpeted bedrooms vacuumed in the same run as the tiles get mopped. iRobot say it avoids carpet in its vacuum-and-mop modes rather than lifting the mop, and iRobot publish 13,000Pa for it, the lowest of our eight picks. iRobot’s product page gives the warranty as “1-Year or 2-Year” without saying which applies.
Best roller mop with a 24-month warranty

Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow

  • 15mmroller lift
  • 20,000Pasuction
  • 24 monthsAU warranty

The same idea as the T90 Omni, a self-cleaning roller mop, with Roborock’s 24-month Australian warranty in place of ECOVACS’ 1 year. Roborock say the roller lifts up to 15mm for carpet, the dock washes it at up to 75°C measured at the heater, dries it with 55°C air, and empties the bin for up to 65 days.

It spots obstacles with structured light and a camera, and Roborock ship the camera switched off until you turn it on, which is a sensible default.

Don’t buy this ifyour sofa is low. At 119mm it’s the tallest of our eight picks. And check the lift figure if thick rugs are the reason you’re buying: Roborock’s Australian product page says 15mm, their Australian store page says 14mm.
Roborock Qrevo L Pro robot vacuum and mop with its self-emptying and refilling dock
No camera, 24-month warranty

Roborock Qrevo L Pro

  • Nocamera
  • 18,500Pasuction
  • 10mmmop lift

A full self-maintaining dock and Roborock’s 24-month warranty, and Roborock list structured light rather than a camera for spotting obstacles, which suits anyone uneasy about a lens in the bedroom.

The dock empties the bin for up to 65 days, washes the two spinning mops at up to 75°C and dries them at up to 45°C. The mops lift 10mm for carpet.

Don’t buy this ifyou have thick rugs: 10mm of lift suits flat bedroom carpet. And match the full name on the listing. The older Qrevo L, without “Pro”, is a different machine with a different suction figure.
ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 Omni slim robot vacuum and mop with its all-in-one station
Slim, with a 2-year warranty

ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 Omni

  • 81mmtall
  • 2 yearsAU warranty
  • 15,000Pasuction

The ECOVACS to buy if warranty length matters to you. ECOVACS Australia cover the T50 family for 2 years, double the T90 Omni, and at 81mm it clears low furniture that stops taller machines.

The dock washes the two spinning mops in hot water and dries them at 45°C. ECOVACS’ own page gives the wash as both 75°C and 70°C in different places. It avoids obstacles with 3D structured light, and the ZeroTangle 2.0 brush is built to stop hair winding round it.

Don’t buy this ifyou have thick rugs. ECOVACS’ page gives a 9mm mop lift (its listing’s chart says 10mm), which suits flat carpet only.
No washing dock needed

iRobot Roomba 115 Combo

  • 15,000Pasuction
  • AutoEmptydock
  • 2 yearsAU warranty

The simplest of our picks. The dock empties the bin, and that’s all it does. The mop is a single washable pad you take off and wash yourself, and the robot avoids carpet while it’s mopping, so nothing damp goes near the pile.

If you mainly want the floors vacuumed every day, with an occasional mop of the kitchen, a washing dock is a lot of hardware to buy and find room for. This one skips it, and iRobot’s page gives it a 2-year warranty.

Don’t buy this ifyou want hands-off mopping. You’ll be washing the pad. It also isn’t on the list of models covered by iRobot’s pet-waste promise.

Want to spend less?

You don’t need a flagship for clean floors. These three sit at the lower end of the price range on this page, and each one gives something up to get there.

RobotWhat you still getWhat you give upAustralian warranty
ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 OmniA dock that washes the mops in hot water and dries them, and a body just 81mm tallHalf the T90 Omni’s suction (15,000Pa against 30,000Pa), and spinning pads that lift 9mm rather than a roller2 years
iRobot Roomba 115 Combo15,000Pa, and a dock that empties the binThe washing dock. You take the mop pad off and wash it yourself2 years
Roborock Q7BLaser navigation, 8,000Pa, and a mop that works while it vacuumsBoth kinds of dock. The plain Q7B’s dock only charges it: no emptying, no mop washing12 months

Of the three, the T50 Omni is the one we’d pick: it’s the only one that washes its own mops, and it keeps ECOVACS’ 2-year cover. If you mostly want the floors vacuumed, the Roomba 115 Combo does that with less hardware to find room for. In the sales, check the price against the maker’s own Australian store before you buy.

Popular models people ask about

Being searched for a lot isn’t a reason to buy. But if you already have one of these in mind, here’s where it sits against our picks. These are seven of the most searched robot vacuums in Australia, in order of search volume.

Most searched

Roborock Saros 10R

  • 79.8mmtall
  • 20,000Pasuction
  • 24 monthsAU warranty

The low-profile Roborock Australians search for most. It’s as slim as the Qrevo Edge 3 Pro, can leave its mops at the dock, and unlike the Edge 3 Pro it’s on Roborock Australia’s 24-month warranty list.

Sold out right now

The Roborock Saros 10R Robot Vacuum and Mop is unavailable at the moment. The nearest machine we cover that you can buy today is the ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 Omni.

Check the model letters

Dreame L50 Ultra

  • 10.5mmmop lift
  • 36 monthsfrom Dreame’s store

Dreame Australia’s own site lists the L50 Ultra at 20,000Pa with a 10.5mm mop lift. The listing we link sells the L50 Ultra CE and quotes 25,000Pa, and Dreame’s Australian site doesn’t list a CE at all. Until Dreame explain the difference, buy on the model name printed on the listing and the box, not on the suction figure. The same warranty condition as the X50 Ultra applies.

Sold out right now

The Dreame L50 Ultra CE Robot Vacuum and Mop is unavailable at the moment. The nearest machine we cover that you can buy today is the ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Omni.

Roborock’s flagship

Roborock Saros 20

  • 36,000Pasuction
  • 79.8mmtall
  • 24 monthsAU warranty

On paper it matches the Qrevo Edge 3 Pro’s headline figures: 36,000Pa, a 7.98cm body, mops that detach for carpet, 100°C mop washing and an 8.8cm two-layer threshold climb. The difference that matters is the warranty: the Saros 20 is on Roborock’s 24-month list. Roborock sell it through their own Australian store, and we don’t have a listing we can link for it yet.

The basic one

Roborock Q7B

  • 8,000Pasuction
  • LiDARnavigation
  • 12 monthsAU warranty

A much simpler machine than anything above: laser navigation, 8,000Pa, and a mop that works while it vacuums. The plain Q7B comes with a charging dock only. The Q7B+ adds a dock that empties the bin, but neither washes the mop. It isn’t on Roborock’s 24-month list. If a basic machine is what you’re after, the Roomba 115 Combo in our picks adds an emptying dock and a 2-year warranty.

Sold here as the V50 Ultra

MOVA V50 Ultra

  • 24,000Pasuction
  • 10.5mmmop lift
  • 6cmtwo-step climb

MOVA’s Australian site sells it as the V50 Ultra. There’s no plain V50 on it. The published figures sit close to the Dreame X50 Ultra: 24,000Pa, a 10.5mm mop lift, removable mops, a 6cm two-step climb and an 89.5mm body. MOVA advertise “up to” a 3-year warranty, and we haven’t read the terms behind that, so check them before you count on it.

The longest ECOVACS warranty

ECOVACS DEEBOT X11 OmniCyclone

  • 2.5 yearsAU warranty
  • 19,500Pasuction
  • 10mmroller lift

Its reason to exist is the warranty: ECOVACS Australia cover the X11 family for 2.5 years, longer than any other ECOVACS here. Against the T90 Omni it gives up suction (19,500Pa against 30,000Pa) and roller lift (10mm against 15mm). ECOVACS sell the station as bagless, but its own spec table lists a 1.6L dust bag, so check what you’re getting.

Hot-water mop washing

Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro

  • 25,000Pasuction
  • 100°Cmop wash
  • 24 monthsAU warranty

Detaches its mops at the dock for carpet and washes them in water heated up to 100°C. It’s on Roborock’s 24-month list, which is the main thing it has over the Edge 3 Pro.

Sold out right now

The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro is unavailable at the moment. The nearest machine we cover that you can buy today is the Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro.

Our robot warranty guide covers every brand’s Australian terms, including mowers and pool robots.

Grey imports

A grey import is a genuine robot made for another country and sold here by someone who isn’t the brand’s Australian distributor. It can be cheaper, and it can also come with no Australian warranty, an app locked to another region, a voice in the wrong language and a plug that needs an adaptor. Before you buy, check three things: the listing names an Australian model or says Australian stock, the seller is the brand or a business you can contact in Australia, and the brand’s Australian warranty doesn’t exclude where you’re buying from.

Your rights outlast the warranty

Australian Consumer Law applies on top of any manufacturer warranty and can’t be excluded. For a major failure, one where you wouldn’t have bought the product had you known, you choose a refund, replacement or compensation for the drop in value. For a minor problem, the business chooses, within a reasonable time. Your rights aren’t limited to the warranty period either: a robot is expected to last as long as a reasonable buyer would expect for its type and price. Start with the business that sold it to you, and keep your receipt.

This is general information, not legal advice. See the ACCC’s consumer rights and guarantees.

Budget for the parts that wear out. Roborock and ECOVACS both exclude consumables such as brushes, filters and mop cloths from their warranties, so you’ll be buying those yourself. No brand on this page publishes how long it will keep supplying parts in Australia, though the ACCC says the manufacturer or importer must provide spare parts and repairs for a reasonable time unless you were told otherwise when you bought.

Buying in the Black Friday sales

Black Friday runs from 27 to 30 November this year. Australian searches for “black friday robot vacuum” went from 110 in October last year to 4,400 in November, so plenty of people are about to buy in a hurry. Four checks first:

  • Match the full model name. Qrevo L and Qrevo L Pro, L50 Ultra and L50 Ultra CE, Qrevo Edge 2 Pro and Edge 3 Pro are different machines with different figures, and a sale listing won’t always make the difference obvious.
  • Compare with the maker’s own Australian price, not the “was” price on the listing. That tells you whether the discount is real.
  • Check who’s selling. Roborock exclude warranties from unauthorised dealers, Dreame’s 36 months is written for its own store, and iRobot’s pet-waste promise needs an authorised seller.
  • Check the warranty, not just the price. A machine with half the warranty isn’t a bargain at a small discount.

Our Black Friday robot guide covers which vacuums, mowers and pool robots are worth buying in the sales, and what to skip.

What to look for in an Australian home

  • Check the mop before the suction. If you have carpet anywhere, the mop has to get out of the way: lift high enough to clear the pile, come off at the dock, or keep off carpet altogether. 10mm of lift handles flat bedroom carpet. Thick rugs need more, or a robot that leaves its mops at the dock.
  • Don’t buy on the suction number alone. Past about 10,000Pa, the figure tells you little about how clean a tile or timber floor gets. The brush and the mop matter more.
  • Big tiled areas suit a roller mop. A roller that keeps rinsing itself keeps working across a large floor, where pads get saturated and start pushing dirt around.
  • Look at the brush if you have pets. Hair wrapping the brush is the most common reason a robot stops cleaning, whatever its suction.
  • Decide how you feel about cameras. Most flagships recognise obstacles with a camera. If that bothers you, look for structured light only, or a camera that ships switched off.
  • Measure the dock spot. Self-washing docks are big. Check the station’s dimensions, not the robot’s, and leave room in front for it to line up and a power point nearby.

Best robot vacuum without a mop

Very few vacuum-only robots are left. Almost every robot vacuum sold here now comes with a mop, and some models named plain “Robot Vacuum” ship with a water tank and mop pad in the box. If the worry is a wet mop on your carpet, you don’t need a vacuum-only machine: pick one that leaves its mops at the dock before carpet, or one that keeps off carpet while it’s mopping. Both are in the table above. If your house is mostly carpet and you want no mop at all, our carpet, tiles and floorboards guide includes a vacuum-only pick.

Questions people actually ask

What is the best robot vacuum and mop in Australia?

For most homes, the ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Omni. It vacuums at 30,000Pa, mops with a roller that rinses itself, lifts that roller 15mm clear of carpet and is 95mm tall. Its catch is a 1-year warranty. If a longer warranty matters more, the Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow does a similar roller-mop job with 24 months.

What is the best robot vacuum with a self-cleaning station in Australia?

Seven of our eight picks have a dock that empties the bin and washes the mops. The ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Omni is our best overall. The Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro washes its mops at up to 100°C and the Dreame X50 Ultra at up to 80°C. The one without a washing dock is the iRobot Roomba 115 Combo, which only empties itself.

Which robot vacuum and mop is best for carpet?

One that gets the mop out of the way. The Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro and Dreame X50 Ultra can leave their mops at the dock before carpet. The ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Omni and Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow lift their rollers 15mm. The iRobot Roomba Max 705 Combo keeps off carpet while mopping instead. Our carpet, tiles and floorboards guide goes surface by surface.

Which robot vacuum and mop is best for pet hair and pet accidents?

For hair, check the brush before the suction: the ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Omni carries ECOVACS’ ZeroTangle 4.0. For accidents, the iRobot Roomba Max 705 Combo recognises pet waste and is covered by iRobot Australia’s Pet Owner Official Promise, which replaces the robot if it fails to avoid it, under conditions. Our pet hair guide compares more machines.

Which robot vacuum and mop is best for tiles and timber floors?

For large tiled or timber areas, look at a self-cleaning roller mop like the ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 Omni or Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow. Pads get saturated over a big floor, and a roller that’s cleaned as it goes is the makers’ answer to that. On timber, follow your floor maker’s advice on water.

Which robot vacuum has the longest warranty in Australia?

Of the machines on this page, the Dreame X50 Ultra and L50 Ultra at 36 months, but only as written for purchases from Dreame’s own Australian store. MOVA advertise “up to” 3 years on the V50 Ultra, and we haven’t read the terms. Next is the ECOVACS DEEBOT X11 OmniCyclone at 2.5 years, then Roborock’s listed models at 24 months, including the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow and Qrevo L Pro, and the ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 Omni and iRobot Roomba 115 Combo at 2 years.

Is there a robot vacuum and mop without a camera?

Yes. Roborock list structured light, not a camera, for the Qrevo L Pro’s obstacle avoidance, and the iRobot Roomba 115 Combo has no camera recognition. The Roborock Qrevo Curv 2 Flow has one, but it ships switched off.

Are robot vacuums worth it in Australia?

For most homes with hard floors, yes. They handle the daily dust so you only need to deep clean now and then. The case is weaker if your home is mostly deep-pile carpet, where a normal vacuum still does a better job.

Can a robot vacuum replace a regular vacuum?

Not entirely. It keeps floors clean day to day, but you’ll still want a stick vacuum for stairs, upholstery and the occasional deep clean.

Do robot vacuums learn your house?

Yes. A robot with laser navigation maps the house on its first run, then lets you name rooms, set no-go zones and clean one room on command. Our navigation explainer covers how that works.

Is there a robot vacuum that climbs stairs?

None of the robots on this page can. Their cliff sensors stop them at the edge of a step. For a two-storey house you need a robot per floor, or to carry one between levels. Our stairs guide covers both.

What is the best budget robot vacuum and mop in Australia?

Of the lower-priced machines on this page, the ECOVACS DEEBOT T50 Omni is the one we’d pick: its dock washes and dries the mops, and ECOVACS give it 2 years in Australia. If you’re happy to wash a mop pad yourself, the iRobot Roomba 115 Combo empties its own bin and also has a 2-year warranty. See Want to spend less?

How much does a robot vacuum and mop cost in Australia?

Prices run from simple self-emptying machines up to flagships with washing docks, and they move a lot in the big sales. Where a button on this page shows a price, it’s the store’s price at the time shown. Compare it with the maker’s own Australian price before you buy, so you can tell a real discount from one taken off a price nobody pays.

When is the best time to buy a robot vacuum in Australia?

The big sales: the mid-year sales, the October sales, and Black Friday through Cyber Monday in late November. See our Black Friday robot guide.

If your house mixes surfaces, the carpet, tiles and floorboards guide goes floor by floor. Heavy shedders get their own comparison in the pet hair guide, and two-storey homes in the stairs guide. The warranty guide sets out every brand’s Australian terms, new robot vacuums in Australia tracks this year’s launches, and how robot vacuums map your home explains navigation in plain English. ServiceBot is an Australian affiliate site. We earn a commission when you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. Commission rates differ between retailers and this does not influence our rankings, which are decided before commission rates are considered.

Our picks are based on each maker’s published Australian specifications and warranty terms, and on what you can buy in Australia. Where a maker publishes two different figures, we show both. We do not publish customer ratings.

Specifications change without notice. If you spot an error on this page, please let us know and we will correct it.
