WYBOT sells eight underwater pool cleaners and a solar skimmer through its Australian store, and the names don’t tell you much. A C1, a C2 and a C2 Vision share the same 7.9kg weight and most of the same specs. Three S2s differ in how they charge and whether they have a camera. This guide sorts the WYBOT pool cleaner range by what actually decides the right one for you: the pool size WYBOT rates it for, how it charges, how fine its filter is, and whether it carries one year or two of Australian warranty. Every spec and warranty figure comes from WYBOT’s own Australian pages.
For most backyard pools, the WYBOT C1 is the one to start with. It cleans the floor, walls and waterline, WYBOT rates it for pools up to 150m², and it carries two years of warranty on WYBOT’s Australian store.
If your pool is bigger, or the water carries fine dust, step up to the WYBOT C2: 200m², up to 180 minutes in Eco mode, and a 10μm second filter the C1 doesn’t have.
If you never want to lift a robot out of the pool, the WYBOT S3 docks itself, recharges and empties its debris into a 10-litre bin on the edge. It’s the most hands-off machine WYBOT sells here, and when we looked it was also the priciest single robot in its Australian range.

Four things to check before you buy a WYBOT
WYBOT rates most models by pool area: up to about 107m² for the B1 (it quotes 1,150 sq ft), 150m² for the C1, 200m² for the C2 and C2 Vision, and about 300m² for the S2 family. For the S3 it gives a length instead: pools up to 15 metres long. The pages we read don’t say how the area is measured, so don’t buy right on the limit. Work out your pool’s floor area (length times width: a 10 by 5 metre pool is 50m² of floor) and leave room for the walls, which are cleaned on the same charge.
This is the biggest difference across the range. The C1, C2, C2 Vision and S2 come out of the pool to charge; WYBOT quotes 3 hours for each. The B1 has no dock either, and WYBOT’s B1 page gives no charge time. The S2 Solar and S2 Solar Vision go back to a dock on the pool edge when the battery drops below 20% and charge from its solar panel or from a power adapter (WYBOT calls it DC in the specs and the AC adapter in its FAQ). The S3 has a dock that recharges it and empties its debris. Solar is slower than it sounds: WYBOT’s own S3 page says three full days of sunlight gives approximately 2.5 hours of runtime, and its S2 Solar pages say to clean every two days or less often if the dock gets limited sun.
The B1 and C1 use a single 180μm filter. The C2 and C2 Vision add a 10μm layer, which WYBOT says captures fine dust. The S2 Solar and S2 Solar Vision pair a 180μm filter box with an ultra-fine sponge. The S3 comes with three filters: 380μm for heavy debris, 180μm for daily cleaning and a 10μm ultra-fine filter. If your pool sits near a dusty road, a sandpit or a garden bed, the finer filter is worth having.
WYBOT’s Australian refund policy lists 24 months for the C1, C2, C2 Vision, S2, S2 Solar, S2 Solar Vision and S3, but only 12 months for the B1 and the F1 skimmer. The B1’s own product page shows a “2-Year Warranty” badge at the top and says “1-year warranty” in its description; the policy says 12 months, so plan on one year. Two more lines in that policy matter. After the 30-day return period, WYBOT repairs a faulty unit and pays the return shipping, but you pay to send it to WYBOT. And you also pay shipping on a warranty claim for a unit taken outside the country you bought it in, so buy the Australian unit.
Warranty periods are what WYBOT publishes for Australia. Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply on top of them and are not limited to these periods.

Every WYBOT, one by one
Every figure below is WYBOT’s own, from its Australian store, unless the card says otherwise. Where WYBOT’s pages disagree with each other, we say so.
The C1 is the WYBOT most people should look at first. WYBOT says it cleans floors, walls, waterlines, steps and slopes, rates it for pools up to 150m², and quotes up to 150 minutes a run and 3 hours to charge. It has five modes (Full, Floor, Wall, Wall-to-Floor and Eco), schedules weekly cleans from the WYBOT app, and parks itself near the pool wall when it’s done so you can lift it out. WYBOT’s comparison table lists it for above-ground and in-ground pools, and it weighs 7.9kg.
What you give up against the C2 is the fine filter. The C1 has a single 180μm cartridge, with no 10μm layer for fine dust. For tiled pools, WYBOT recommends using float blocks.
Who it suits: a typical backyard pool, in-ground or above-ground, where leaves and grit are the main mess.
- Floor, walls and waterline in one run
- Two years of warranty in Australia
- Parks near the wall for pickup
- Single 180μm filter, no fine layer
- Five modes against the C2’s seven
- Comes out of the pool to charge
Australian warranty: 24 months · WYBOT’s Australian refund policy, as published
By Google Ads estimates, the C2 is the most searched WYBOT model in Australia, at about 880 searches a month. It does what the C1 does, with these upgrades on WYBOT’s own pages: pools up to 200m² instead of 150m², up to 180 minutes in Eco mode instead of 150, seven modes instead of five, a brushless motor, and a second filter. That filter is the one that matters. WYBOT pairs a 180-micron filter box with a 10-micron filter net, with 3 litres of capacity, so fine dust gets caught as well as leaves.
WYBOT lists seven modes (including Turbo and Eco), six cleaning paths and up to four scheduled cleans a week. It says the C2 is safe for tiles, concrete, vinyl and fibreglass, and returns to the pool edge automatically. It weighs the same 7.9kg as the C1 and charges in the same 3 hours.
Who it suits: a family pool up to about 200m², especially one that collects fine dust or sand.
- 10μm second filter for fine dust
- Joint-longest run in the C-series, with the C2 Vision
- WYBOT lists tiles, concrete, vinyl and fibreglass
- Two filter layers to rinse instead of one
- Comes out of the pool to charge
- No camera; that’s the C2 Vision
Australian warranty: 24 months · WYBOT’s Australian refund policy, as published
The C2 Vision is a C2 with a camera. On WYBOT’s pages everything else matches: 200m², up to 180 minutes, 180μm plus 10μm filters, 3 hours to charge, 7.9kg. What the camera adds is what WYBOT calls AI Vision, which it says detects debris and avoids obstacles. WYBOT claims up to 20 times the cleaning efficiency, and its footnote limits that to its dirt-hunting mode. That’s WYBOT’s figure, not one we can check.
WYBOT’s pages don’t fully agree with themselves on this model. The description gives 3,883 GPH of suction while the comparison table gives 3,592 GPH, and the app section says 8 cleaning modes while the table says 4 Vision plus 7. Neither changes the decision, but it’s worth knowing the numbers are marketing figures. When the battery runs low, WYBOT says it moves to the wall and stops, and it comes with a retrieving hook.
Who it suits: a pool that collects patches of debris in the same spots, where you’d rather the robot go after the mess than run a fixed pattern.
- Camera mode that targets debris
- Same filters and size rating as the C2
- Retrieving hook in the box
- WYBOT’s own pages disagree on suction and mode count
- The 20 times figure is WYBOT’s claim, for one mode
- Comes out of the pool to charge
Australian warranty: 24 months · WYBOT’s Australian refund policy, as published
The B1 has WYBOT’s smallest pool rating: it designs it for pools up to 1,150 sq ft (about 107m²). WYBOT quotes up to 120 minutes a run and says it cleans floors, walls, waterline, steps and slopes, with side brushes for the edges and corners. It has a 180μm filter, five modes including a waterline-only mode, and LED status lights.
The catch is the warranty. WYBOT’s Australian refund policy gives the B1 12 months, against 24 for every C and S model. Its own product page shows a “2-Year Warranty” badge at the top while the description says “1-year warranty”; we’ve gone with the policy. WYBOT doesn’t publish a charge time or weight for it.
Who it suits: a plunge pool or a small courtyard pool, where a 150m² robot is more than you need.
- Rated for smaller pools
- Floor, walls and waterline
- Waterline-only mode
- 12 months of warranty, half the C-series
- WYBOT’s B1 page contradicts itself on the warranty
- No charge time or weight published
Australian warranty: 12 months · WYBOT’s Australian refund policy, as published
The S2 is the WYBOT for big pools. WYBOT quotes up to 210 minutes a run and coverage up to 300m², with a 3 hour charge. It says it cleans floors, walls (including tiles), steps and waterlines, with triple motors, a brushless motor and dual-layer filtration. You get seven modes and six paths in the app, plus three modes WYBOT says you can select manually, without the app. It can run up to four cleans across seven days and parks itself for pickup.
WYBOT’s S2 page doesn’t give a micron rating for the filters, a weight or a pool type.
Who it suits: a large pool over the C2’s 200m² rating.
- Longest run WYBOT publishes for its underwater robots, 210 minutes
- Rated for pools up to 300m²
- Three modes selectable without the app
- No filter micron rating, weight or pool type published
- Comes out of the pool to charge
- Overkill for a pool under 200m²
Australian warranty: 24 months · WYBOT’s Australian refund policy, as published
The S2 Solar cuts out most charging trips. It goes back to its dock on the pool edge when the battery drops below 20% and charges there, from the dock’s solar panel or a power adapter. WYBOT quotes 2.5 hours plus of runtime, coverage up to 3,229 sq ft (about 300m²), and a 180μm filter box with an ultra-fine sponge. WYBOT calls it the world’s first solar-powered robotic pool cleaner; that’s its claim.
Read WYBOT’s own FAQ before you count on the sun. For a heavily soiled pool, such as the first clean of the season, it says the solar dock may not provide enough energy and to charge with the adapter instead. If the dock gets limited sun, it says to schedule cleans every two days or less often. WYBOT’s S2 Solar page doesn’t list which parts of the pool it cleans; its S2 Solar Vision page does, below.
Who it suits: a large pool in full sun, and an owner who’d rather not carry a wet robot to a powerpoint after every clean.
- Docks and charges itself
- Solar or adapter, so a cloudy week isn’t the end of it
- Rated for about 300m²
- WYBOT says use the adapter for heavy cleans
- Less sun means fewer cleans
- Its page doesn’t list what it cleans
Australian warranty: 24 months · WYBOT’s Australian refund policy, as published
The S2 Solar Vision is the S2 Solar with a camera. It keeps the solar dock and power adapter option, the 2.5 hours plus of runtime, the 3,229 sq ft rating and the 180μm filter with an ultra-fine sponge. WYBOT says it cleans floors, walls, waterlines, slopes and steps. Its AI Vision mode, which WYBOT says cleans up to 20 times faster, works on the floor only; WYBOT puts “(floor only)” on it itself. There’s also a spot mode that cleans a 6.6 ft (about 2 metre) radius around the robot when you drive it from the app.
The same solar caveats apply as on the S2 Solar: WYBOT says to charge with the adapter for heavy cleans, and to clean less often if the dock gets limited sun.
Who it suits: a large, sunny pool whose floor collects leaves faster than a fixed pattern clears them.
- Docks and charges itself
- Camera mode for floor debris
- Floors, walls, waterlines, slopes and steps listed
- Camera mode is floor only
- Same sun limits as the S2 Solar
- The 20 times figure is WYBOT’s claim
Australian warranty: 24 months · WYBOT’s Australian refund policy, as published
The S3 is the only self-emptying model in WYBOT’s Australian range. WYBOT says it scans your pool on the first run and plans its path from that map, returns to its dock when the battery is low or a cycle ends, recharges, and empties debris into a 10-litre bin on the edge. WYBOT says that cuts maintenance to around once a month. Its camera mode (floor only, again) cleans based on the pool map, and you can track the robot live in the app and drive it to a spot.
Two things to read before you buy. First, “once a month” is WYBOT’s figure for overall maintenance, but its own FAQ also says to clean the debris box and debris bag weekly and the internal filter basket every two weeks. Second, the power: the dock runs on solar or a power adapter, and WYBOT’s FAQ says three full days of sunlight gives approximately 2.5 hours of runtime, so most owners will want the adapter connected. WYBOT recommends it for pools up to 15 metres long and says the app needs iOS 17 or Android 8 or later. It comes with 380μm, 180μm and 10μm filters and two chlorine tablet containers. WYBOT doesn’t publish a run time per charge for it.
Who it suits: an owner who wants to stop handling a robot and a filter basket after every clean, and has a sunny spot or a power supply for the dock.
- Empties itself into a 10L bin
- Maps the pool and plans its path
- Three filter grades in the box
- The priciest single robot in WYBOT’s Australian range when we looked
- Weekly and fortnightly cleaning still needed, by WYBOT’s own FAQ
- Solar alone is slow, by WYBOT’s own figure

WYBOT C1 vs C2: which one?
The C1 and C2 are the two most searched WYBOT models in Australia, and WYBOT’s own comparison table makes the choice simple. Both weigh 7.9kg, both charge in 3 hours, both clean the floor, walls and waterline, both park themselves and both carry two years of warranty. The C2 adds 50m² of rating (200m² against 150m²), 30 minutes of run time (180 in Eco mode against 150), a brushless motor, two more modes (7 against 5) and a 10μm filter on top of the 180μm one.
Buy the C1 if your pool is a typical backyard size and leaves are the main problem. Buy the C2 if the pool is bigger, or if fine dust settles on the floor and clouds the water. If you’re stuck between them, the filter is the tiebreaker: it’s the one difference you’ll notice every week.
The WYBOT F1 skimmer and the bundles
None of WYBOT’s underwater robots lists surface skimming. The WYBOT F1 does it: it’s a solar skimmer with a 33W panel and a 7L basket, and WYBOT says it runs 24 hours in Smart mode (10 minutes on, 10 off) or 8 hours straight in Standard mode. WYBOT gives it 12 months of warranty in Australia. We compare it with six other skimmers in our solar pool skimmer guide.
WYBOT’s Australian store also sells the F1 in bundles with the C1, the S2 and the S3. If you’d buy both anyway, check the bundle against the two bought separately. WYBOT’s warranty table lists 24 months for the robots and 12 for the F1; it doesn’t list the bundles separately.
The most searched WYBOT models in Australia, and where they fit

| WYBOT B1 | 20 on average, 210 in August 2026 | Covered, small pools |
If you’ve seen a WYBOT model that isn’t on WYBOT’s Australian store, it may be sold for another country. WYBOT’s refund policy puts the shipping cost on you for a warranty claim on a unit taken outside the country it was bought in.
Questions people ask
Which WYBOT pool cleaner is best for an Australian backyard pool?
For most pools, the WYBOT C1: floor, walls and waterline, rated for pools up to 150m², and two years of warranty in Australia. The WYBOT C2 is for a pool up to 200m² or one that collects fine dust, and the WYBOT S2 for pools up to 300m².
WYBOT C1 or C2: what’s the difference?
On WYBOT’s own comparison table, the C2 is rated for 200m² against the C1’s 150m², runs up to 180 minutes in Eco mode against 150, has seven modes against five, and adds a 10μm filter to the 180μm one. Both weigh 7.9kg, charge in 3 hours and carry 24 months of warranty in Australia.
How long is the warranty on a WYBOT pool cleaner in Australia?
WYBOT’s Australian refund policy lists 24 months for the C1, C2, C2 Vision, S2, S2 Solar, S2 Solar Vision and S3, and 12 months for the B1 and the F1 skimmer. It also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on undamaged products. Your Australian Consumer Law rights apply on top.
Who pays shipping on a WYBOT warranty claim?
WYBOT’s Australian policy says that for a product still under warranty but past the 30-day return period, it repairs it for free and pays the return shipping, but you pay to send it to WYBOT. You also pay shipping on a claim for a unit taken outside the country it was bought in, and for returns other than a proven defect.
Does the WYBOT C1 work in an above-ground pool?
WYBOT’s C-series comparison table lists the C1, C2 and C2 Vision for above-ground and in-ground pools. Its pages don’t say whether that includes soft-sided or inflatable pools, so ask WYBOT before buying for one of those. Either way, check your pool’s size against the C1’s 150m² rating.
Does the WYBOT S2 Solar need a powerpoint?
Not for everyday cleaning in a sunny spot: it charges on its solar dock. But WYBOT’s own FAQ says to charge it with the power adapter for a heavily soiled pool, and to schedule cleans every two days or less often if the dock gets limited sun. So you’ll want a powerpoint you can reach some of the time.
How often do you empty the WYBOT S3?
WYBOT says its self-emptying dock cuts maintenance to around once a month. Its own FAQ also says to clean the debris box and debris bag weekly and the internal filter basket every two weeks, so it isn’t quite set-and-forget.
Are WYBOT pool cleaners sold in Australia?
Yes. WYBOT runs an Australian online store, priced in Australian dollars with GST included, and publishes a refund and warranty policy on it. That policy doesn’t name an Australian company or address; returns go to an address WYBOT support gives you when you start a claim.
Has WYBOT recalled any robotic pool cleaners?
In April 2026 the US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of the WYBOT Osprey 700 Max and S1, for batteries that can overheat. The notice lists US sellers. Neither model is in WYBOT’s current Australian range as listed on its store. If you own one, read the CPSC notice and contact WYBOT.
