GOKO launched its M6 robot mower in Australia on Tuesday 13 October at Curzon Hall in Marsfield, Sydney, and I was in the room. Here is what GOKO showed: the machine and how Australians will buy it and get it serviced.

The 30-second version

  1. The M6 is a four-wheel-drive, wire-free robot mower rated for slopes up to 90 per cent grade, about 42 degrees. It is built for large, hilly blocks.
  2. You can order it now from GOKO’s own store at au.gokorobo.com.
  3. The M6 features a dual cutting-disc system with a 42cm cutting width, designed to deliver efficient mowing coverage.
  4. It comes with a two-year warranty, and GOKO is setting up local service and parts in Australia.
  5. With its expandable battery configuration, the M6 is designed to mow up to 2 acres in 12 hours under the specified operating conditions.

The launch

GOKO opened with its own story. The brand belongs to Robot++, a Beijing robotics company that has spent years building industrial robots, and GOKO’s pitch is “industrial-grade robotics expertise, brought into everyday life”. The M6 is the first product of that move into backyards, and Australia is one of its first markets.

The room was set up around a turf demo course, complete with a steep ramp, a charging dock and a picket fence of GOKO branding.

The M6 up close

In person the M6 is a solid, angular machine in brushed silver, with chunky tyres on all four wheels, a big red stop button on the lid and a sensor module on the roof. Its substantial build and four-wheel-drive design give it a robust appearance, well suited to tackling larger lawns and challenging terrain.

The slope demo was the highlight for me. GOKO ran the M6 up the steepest ramp on the course, and I was amazed watching it climb. That’s a slope I’d think twice about walking up in thongs. GOKO rates the M6 for slopes of up to 90% grade, equivalent to approximately 42 degrees.

The M6 also looks after its own charging. When its battery runs low, it drives back to its charging dock on its own, recharges, then picks up where it left off.

I watched it do exactly that during the demo, driving back to the dock by itself. That makes the M6 a natural fit if you want a set-and-forget mower. Set a schedule in the app once, and it heads out, recharges when it needs to and finishes the job without you.

I also filmed it cutting real grass.

The specs GOKO presented

Feature What GOKO presented
Slopes Up to 90 per cent grade, about 42 degrees. Four-wheel drive with adaptive suspension
Steering Active front-wheel steering, which GOKO says protects the lawn when it turns
Navigation Vision-first fusion navigation with nRTK. No boundary wire and no antenna to set up
Obstacles AI QuadVision obstacle avoidance, plus two dedicated side cameras for a wider view and neater edges
Cutting Dual cutting-disc system, which GOKO describes as the world’s first. 42cm cutting width, cutting height 2.5 to 10cm, driven by dual motors, with razor blade discs for quiet everyday mowing
Battery Expandable battery system: choose one or two batteries to suit your lawn size. Standard battery: about 120 minutes and half an acre a charge. Dual battery: up to one acre, about 4,000 square metres, a charge. 10A fast charging
Big lawns Up to 2 acres, about 8,000 square metres, in 12 hours at 1 metre a second with the dual battery, returning to charge in between
Control App with up to 250 mowing zones, cutting height, mowing angle and schedules. Works with Alexa and Google Home. 4.3 inch colour screen and a knob on the mower itself

The M6 needs no boundary wire or stakes. It finds its way using GOKO’s vision-first fusion navigation with nRTK positioning, while its AI QuadVision cameras and two side cameras watch for obstacles and keep the edges neat.

How Australians will buy it

There are two ways to buy:

  • Direct online from GOKO’s Australian store, where orders are open now.
  • Regional dealers, for advice, delivery and ongoing local service.

On 16 October, GOKO’s Australian store listed the M6 at A$3,999 with one battery and A$4,299 with two. Those are early-bird prices for the first 300 orders, and the store showed 133 of them sold.

Warranty and service

The M6 comes with a two-year warranty, and GOKO is setting up local service in Australia. It aims to reply to customers within 24 hours and to send parts from local stock within a few business days.

Looking ahead

GOKO’s message at the launch was clear: it wants to bring the robotics expertise of its parent company, Robot++, into Australian backyards and residential outdoor maintenance. The M6 is the first step.

ServiceBOT’s take

Ed from ServiceBOT with the GOKO M6 on the demo course
Me with the M6 on the demo course at Curzon Hall.

Plenty of Australians are quietly proud of doing their own lawn. Plenty more already pay a gardener to do it. The only thing changing is that the new gardener is paid for up front, turns up every day and doesn’t mind the heat.

I reckon machines like the M6 are going to change how a lot of us look after our yards. Mowing takes a chunk out of every weekend from spring through to autumn, and all you’ve got to show for it is a bin full of clippings. Let a robot handle it and you get that time back for the stuff you actually enjoy, like the veggie patch or finally sorting out the garden beds. Or just sitting on the deck with a cold one while something else does the lawn.

The lawn still gets cut. You just get your Saturdays back.

Where to order

Orders are open at au.gokorobo.com. For the specs, area figures and early-bird offer in more detail, read our pre-launch guide to the GOKO M6. I’ll publish my own findings once I’ve used the M6 at home.

Prices are as listed on GOKO’s Australian store on 16 October 2026 and can change.
