Description
- Lawn size: 2000–2400m², so half-acre blocks. Mammotion say it mows up to 500m² per charge and heads back to recharge in between.
- Navigation: Satellite positioning (NetRTK) plus two 3D cameras. The RTK base can run over home Wi-Fi or 4G, with Mammotion quoting a range of up to 3km.
- Slopes: Rated to a 45% gradient, which Mammotion put at 24°.
- It sweeps too: With the add-on sweeper kit, sold separately, it picks up leaves, twigs and clippings, then empties them where you tell it. On a block with deciduous trees, that’s the reason to pick this one.
- Cutting: Twin discs plus a floating disc, cutting a strip about 32cm wide (Mammotion list 12.59 inches). Cutting height is 1.2–4.0 inches, about 3–10cm, and it can do one to three extra laps of the edges.
- Zones: Up to 20, each with its own schedule and cutting height, plus no-go areas for garden beds, play equipment and the pool.
- Obstacles: The camera recognises more than 100 kinds of object, and a bumper round the front stops it on anything hard.
- Worth knowing: Several figures on the listing are in inches, and the metric versions above are our conversions.
- Don’t buy this if: your lawn is under about 1000m², or it’s steep. The LUBA 3 AWD range climbs much steeper ground.
