Description
- Husqvarna without the wire: Unlike the Aspire R4, the R6V uses satellite virtual boundaries (Husqvarna call the system EPOS) plus a camera. You draw work areas and no-go zones in the Automower Connect app and change them when the garden changes.
- Lawn size: Up to 600m² mowing in straight stripes, checkerboard or triangle patterns, or up to 400m² in the random pattern.
- Accuracy: Husqvarna say it’s typically within 5cm.
- Obstacles: The camera spots toys, hoses, garden beds and outdoor furniture and steers round them.
- Parts: Husqvarna promise spare parts for at least 10 years. That’s the longest commitment we’ve seen on any mower we list, and it counts for a machine that lives outside.
- Extras: Hose washable. Alarm, PIN and geofence. Works with Alexa and Google Home.
- Before you buy: Husqvarna ask you to check two things first. Put your address into the EPOS coverage checker on husqvarna.com/au, and walk the lawn with your phone to make sure Wi-Fi reaches every corner. A mobile data module is available as a dealer-fitted option.
- Don’t buy this if: your Wi-Fi doesn’t reach the back fence and you don’t want to buy a range extender, or the coverage checker comes back weak for your street.
- Worth knowing: The listing’s bullet points give no slope figure.
