Description

  • Australian stock: Listed as the official Australian version, 220–240V, with local warranty support through ECOVACS’ Australian service centre.
  • No wire, no antenna: Two 360° laser scanners (ECOVACS call it HoloScope) map the lawn, so there’s no boundary wire and no RTK aerial. ECOVACS quote 2cm positioning under trees, along fences and in shade, which is exactly where satellite mowers lose their place.
  • Lawn size: Up to 2000m², so half-acre blocks.
  • Edge trimmer built in: The feature that sets it apart. A TruEdge line trimmer cuts along driveways, paths and garden beds, and it comes with two rolls of line that ECOVACS say cover about 3km of edging each. Less whipper snipping, not none.
  • Cutting: A 32V motor and two blade discs. The listing says it’s designed for thick grass and names Bermuda and Zoysia, which cover the couch and zoysia lawns common here.
  • Battery: 3.0Ah, recharges in about 50 minutes.
  • Worth knowing: Parts of the listing are clearly written for the US market (it mentions American lawns and sidewalks), even though the unit is sold as the Australian version. The listing’s bullet points also give no slope figure. Check both before you buy for a sloping block.
  • Don’t buy this if: your lawn is a small backyard. You’d be paying for range and an edge trimmer you won’t use. Stock was also low (only 3 left) when we checked on 17 September.
