Description
The P2S is the enclosed one, and that single fact is why you’d choose it over an A1. A closed, warm chamber is what lets ABS and ASA cool slowly enough that they don’t warp and split. The Combo bundles the AMS 2 Pro for multi-colour printing.
- Enclosed, with a plastic and glass outer frame: The reason to buy it rather than an A1.
- 256 x 256 x 256mm build volume: The same cube as the full-size A1, in a smaller footprint.
- 600 mm/s toolhead, 20,000 mm/s² acceleration: Against 500 and 10,000 on the A1.
- 110°C heatbed, 300°C hardened steel nozzle: The bed figure is the one that matters for engineering materials. A 0.4mm nozzle is fitted, with 0.2, 0.6 and 0.8mm supported.
- 40 mm³/s maximum flow: Flow rate rather than speed is usually what caps a big print.
- 14.9kg, 392 x 406 x 478mm: Heavy and tall. Check the shelf before it arrives.
Worth knowing before you buy: if everything you print is PLA, you’re paying for a chamber you won’t use, and the A1 Combo does that job for less. The P2S earns its money when you need parts that survive heat, sunlight or load. It also ships with a hardened steel nozzle rather than brass, which matters if you ever run fibre-reinforced filament.
