ECOVACS WINBOT W2 PRO Omni

Description

The mid-range Winbot, and the first in the range to come with a station. If you have more than a couple of windows to do in a session, that dock is the reason to step up from the W1S or the Lite.

The station

An all-in-one dock the robot works from, rather than a unit you carry between windows and plug in each time. Practically, it means less handling of a machine that is holding itself to glass by suction.

Cable handling

The composite design combines the safety rope and the power cord into a single cable. On an upper storey that is one less thing to manage over a sill, and one less thing to snag.

Suction

ECOVACS rate the W2 PRO Omni at 2800Pa. Worth knowing: this is a lower figure than the older W1S, which is rated at 5300Pa. Higher suction is not automatically better here, since holding force is only one part of a fall-safety system, but if that number matters to you, compare the two directly rather than assuming the newer model wins.

Cleaning and navigation

Cross Auto-Spray distributes solution across the glass, and WIN-SLAM 4.0 maps the window before planning a route.
